Another year has flown by, and what a pawsitively incredible one it’s been! From all-day zoomies to festive parties to welcoming thousands of new furry friends, 2024 was full of unforgettable moments at Hounds Town.
This year, the Hounds Town pack grew in leaps and bounds—literally! We proudly opened 24 new locations, creating even more safe, fun spaces where dogs could let loose, make new friends, and just be dogs.
With over 390,000 doggie daycare visits, 77,575 overnight stays, and 25,109 new Townies, we kept tails wagging and paws moving all year long. Some of our most frequent visitors were Labs, Poodle mixes, Huskies, Shephards, and Dacshunds.
When it came to doggie names, we saw the most Indys, Oreos, Baileys, Lunas, and Leos filling our playrooms. We may need to start handing out name tags at this rate!
New Year, New Paw-sibilities
A new year is a great time to set some intentions for your pets, in addition to yourself! You might be surprised how small changes can make a big difference in your pup’s health and happiness.
Here’s how to kick off the year on the right paw:
Build a Routine
Dogs thrive on structure, and a predictable routine helps them feel secure. Whether it’s regular mealtimes, daily walks, or scheduled play sessions, consistency is key. Doggy daycare is the perfect way to add structure to their day while giving them socialization, mental stimulation, and plenty of fun.
Keep Them Active
An active pup is a happy pup! Exercise not only helps maintain a healthy weight but also prevents boredom and strengthens the bond between you and your dog.
Expand Their Social Circle
If your pup hasn’t had a chance to mingle much, now’s the time to change that! Socialization is key to boosting dogs’ confidence and keeping them mentally sharp. Regular visits to doggy daycare gives your pup a chance to make new friends and have a blast while doing it.
Spice Up Their Grooming Routine
Grooming goes deeper than just keeping your dog looking their best. Regular brushing, bathing, and nail trims can prevent health issues and help you catch any concerns early. Plus, why not pamper your pup?
