Doggie Daycare Franchise Hounds Town USA to Open 10th Location, in Atlanta
Offering fully interactive doggie daycare, overnight dog boarding, cat boarding, full service grooming, and a pet taxi service, Hounds Town USA is THE place for dogs to be dogs. And it’s coming soon to the Atlanta area. The New York-based pet care franchise has partnered with Dave Robbins, a local Cummings, GA, resident to open a location in the suburbs of Atlanta.
Dave is a former marine (serving 17 years), with an extensive executive career in technology. After being called to active duty in 2004 for a deployment to Iraq as part of a provisional rifle company, Dave returned to his job in management at AT&T and then retired in 2017, and began looking for a new challenge. “I’ve always loved dogs and the chance to combine my love of dogs and a new business opportunity was an easy decision,” he explains. “In looking at franchise opportunities there was really only one that stood out: Hounds Town USA. The opportunity to build, run, and grow my own business is unique in the Hounds Town organization, and coupled with the business model, this makes this a great opportunity,” he adds.
Along with his wife Ammee, daughter Tyler and son Tanner, and the other two fur-kids Hamm Bone and Luke, Dave looks forward to beginning his search for the PAWfect location. “The Atlanta area is ripe for our pet care business, not only because of the population growth, but because there are so many families that have dogs they don’t want to leave home all day,” explains Hounds Town, Inc. President Jackie Bondanza. Hounds Town – Atlanta will strive to meet the pet care needs of owners who need to work or travel and need reliable, honest, and affordable pet care. “We do not believe in taking advantage of the customer’s wallet and upcharging people for things like bottled water or belly rubs. We will gladly pet your dog for free!” says Jackie. The pet care franchise also does not breed discriminate.
With seven locations opened in New York and New Jersey, and several slated to open in various states in 2019, the pet care franchise is on an upward climb to becoming a significant emerging franchise in the booming pet care industry. Founded in 2001 by former NYPD canine unit and police dog handler Michael Gould, Hounds Town USA has had a long history of providing fully interactive doggie daycare, overnight boarding, grooming, and pet taxi services to thousands of customers. Since its inception, the system has hosted nearly 1 million canine visitors (as well as some feline ones, too).
