It’s party time, and this time pets are welcome! Overnight boarding and dog daycare Hounds Town – Island Park is celebrating its two-year anniversary! Franchisee co-owner Lauren Southard and her partner Jimmy Farrelly decided to become part of the growing pet care franchise back in 2017. “I fell in love with the people and the community,” she says when asked about choosing Island Park. Southard loved it so much she bought a home in neighboring Long Beach.

After just two short years in business, Hounds Town – Island Park is a howling success. They boast anywhere from 35 to 62 dogs a day in their interactive daycare. And just like in the canine world, loyalty pays off. To celebrate two pawfect years, they are giving away free dog baths to all those pups who attended their grand opening party two years ago. Plus everyone is invited to enjoy free refreshments at the celebration on November 2!
As a dog mom herself to Willy (unofficial mutt manager at Hounds Town – Island Park), Southard left behind a career at a Fortune 250 company to pursue her dream. “There have so many laugh-out loud moments over the years with these dogs. Each one has their own personality. Any time a customer is satisfied is a great moment for me.”
