News12 Long Island Helps Doggie Daycare Hounds Town USA Launch Inmate/Dog Training Program
News12 Long Island helped launch the much-anticipated Handcuffs to Heeling program at Yaphank Correctional Facility, pairing 6 homeless dogs from a local shelter with 6 inmates from the local correctional facility. After a brief press conference, Hounds Town USA and Hounds Town Charities President Mike Gould led a training demonstration with the dogs and inmates, who did a wonderful job demonstrating their skills and how far they’ve come since the beginning of the program just four weeks ago. Click here to check out the demonstration, and to learn how you can adopt one of these lovable pups after Graduation on October 22nd.
